- CQC investigations
- CCG, Health Board and NHS England investigations (to include performers list management)
- Coroners (or other inquest) investigations and representation
- Criminal proceedings
- Complaints from patients
- Health Ombudsman complaints
- Breach of confidentiality
- Ex-Gratia payments
- Defamation, Libel and slander claims
- Breach of Data Protection regulations
- Public Liability claims
Activities excluded by CNSGP which are covered by the PDA
- Claims that arose from incidents occurring prior to April 1st 2019.
- This can be covered by the PDAs ‘Run Off’ scheme.
- Non NHS commissioned work (private clinics) in a GP practice (whether face to face, via the telephone or online).
- This can be covered via the IP+ (private clinic extension).
- Portfolio career pharmacy work in other sectors of the profession such as in community or hospital pharmacy.
- This is automatically covered by the ‘wrap around’ scheme and provides a choice of £5 or £10 million indemnity limit.
- It is also covered by the GP practice based scheme that is not reliant upon CNSGP.
