VACCINATIONS: All vaccinations delivered by suitably trained pharmacists have always been covered by indemnity insurance as part of the standard PDA membership apart from Covid-19. For new membership renewals after January 1st, 2026, Covid-19 vaccinations are now also automatically covered.

    In response to many requests from pharmacists employed at Superdrug, the PDA Union is attempting to secure trade union recognition at the company. This would include negotiating pay, terms and conditions, improving health and safety and addressing workplace issues. 

  • PDA Union joins NHS National Staff side and Joint National Council

    The PDA is incredibly pleased to report that following an agreement with other NHS trade unions, the PDA Union has joined the NHS Staff Side which in turn allows the PDA to participate in the NHS National Joint Council, the body responsible for overseeing and agreeing changes to Agenda for Change (AfC).

    Today is the beginning of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, an annual campaign that calls for an end to violence against women and girls. Spanning across 16 days, the campaign begins on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. To mark the campaign, the PDA NAWP Network is highlighting Safe Spaces, a scheme that offers people experiencing domestic abuse a safe space to reach out for support.
