• PDA Union hosts solidarity event ‘Together: Standing up for equality’

  On 24 February 2026, the PDA Union brought members and allies together for an inspiring online event, ‘Together: Standing up for equality’. Against a backdrop of increasing discrimination against minoritised groups and growing polarisation in the UK, the event called for unity, hope, and collective action. 

• PDA LGBT+ Network reflects on experiences in pharmacy at LGBT+ History Month event

  The PDA LGBT+ Network marked LGBT+ History Month 2026, with an online event on 25 February, bringing together members from across the profession to share their lived experiences and explore how the sector can continue to become more inclusive and representative. 

• PDA LGBT+ Network endorse the BMUS guidance for practitioners on transvaginal ultrasound examinations

  The PDA LGBT+ Network was made aware of guidance produced by the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) on the practice of transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS) examinations, which were updated last year.

Ken also reiterates the PDA LGBT+ Network's calls for the UK government to reverse the ban on puberty blockers for trans youth. 

• PDA LGBT+ Network marches at Manchester Pride 2025

  For the fourth year in a row, the PDA LGBT+ Network proudly joined thousands of others in the heart of Manchester to celebrate Pride 2025, continuing their commitment to visibility, inclusion, and solidarity within the pharmacy profession.

The Network is now pleased to announce the newly elected Officers who will also be working closely with the other PDA Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Networks.

  Every two years, members of the PDA LGBT+ Pharmacists’ Network can elect three officers, who will lead the network and work alongside the Immediate Past President and co-opted committee members.

• Celebrating 5 years of the PDA EDI Networks

  This month, three PDA Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Networks turn 5: the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Pharmacists’ Network (BAME Network), the Disabled Pharmacists’ Network (Ability Network), and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pharmacists’ Network (LGBT+ Network).
